Start with the real problem
Residents, families and practitioners bring the experiences that services can miss.
Every innovation begins with identifying a problem. We bring lived experience, communities and innovators together to explore solutions, signpost relevant support and co-design with people who need help developing their innovations.

You don’t need a finished business plan. Start with a problem you think needs solving.

Prevention is the cure.
Built around people. Driven by lived experience.Residents, families and practitioners bring the experiences that services can miss.
Together, we explore who it helps, what already exists and what a safe first step could look like.
Where a pilot is feasible, we agree outcomes, review the evidence and use what we learn to improve.
Our marketplace showcases CIC projects and independent creators, connecting ideas with people interested in pilots, partnerships and support.

Explore Community Power LabFounded by Tanja Hanson, Social Innovation CIC grew from lived experience of navigating health, education and social care, and seeing the cost of support arriving too late.
Our purpose is to make that experience useful: bring people together, listen to what is missing and build practical ways to help earlier.
Tanja Hanson · FounderYour idea goes through our enquiry form for the CIC team to review. Tell us the problem, who it affects and how you think things could improve. Include your email so we can contact you with questions or discuss possible next steps.
A submission starts a conversation; it does not guarantee funding, a partnership or a pilot.
We want to develop ideas with the people who bring them. Any proposed collaboration should agree roles, credit, ownership and how information can be shared before work begins.
Submitting an outline does not transfer ownership of your idea or create a confidentiality agreement. We do not automatically publish submissions. Start with a non-confidential general outline. Please leave out confidential details, identifiable health information and anything you are not ready to share.
