Pilot readiness plan
Eight priorities from Tanja’s handwritten notes, provided on 8 October 2026. This is a plan for improvements and verification, not evidence that the work is complete.
Use this plan to oversee the Power Lab and linked digital pilots. App-specific privacy information and responsibilities must be agreed separately.
Privacy and safety need completed evidence before readiness can be signed off. Owners, professional reviews and test results have not been supplied with these notes. Existing features need checking before an action is closed.
Evidence pending
1. Clear first-use experience
Explain who each app is for, what it does, who can see entries and how saving works. Let children skip setup.
Evidence needed to close this action
A child and an adult can explain the privacy choices after first use; skipping setup does not block core tools.

Evidence pending
2. Consistent privacy controls
Bring game and wellbeing tools under understandable saving and deletion choices. They currently save separately; deleting diary entries does not necessarily delete game progress.
Evidence needed to close this action
Test each storage area and explain exactly what each delete action removes, including separate downloads and game progress.
Owner: to be assigned · Review date: to be agreed
Evidence pending
3. Reliable everyday use
Protect unfinished writing when navigating. Test saving failures, damaged saved data, repeated clicks, editing and deletion.
Evidence needed to close this action
Keep drafts recoverable; show saving failures without claiming success; confirm edits and deletions survive reload when saving is enabled.
Owner: to be assigned · Review date: to be agreed
Evidence pending
4. Stronger goals and routines
Support several small steps per goal, progress reviews, and recording what helped and what did not.
Evidence needed to close this action
A user can add, review and change multiple steps, then record outcomes without losing earlier reviews.
Owner: to be assigned · Review date: to be agreed
Evidence pending
5. Accessible experience
Test the whole site on phones, tablets and school computers, using keyboard access, screen readers and enlarged text. Add read-aloud where user testing shows it helps.
Evidence needed to close this action
Record full-journey testing against WCAG 2.2 AA, issues and retests. Read-aloud must remain optional; accessibility is not yet certified.
Owner: to be assigned · Review date: to be agreed
Evidence pending
6. Reviewed wellbeing content
Ask appropriate professionals to review calm activities, wording and support information. Record review dates and owners.
Evidence needed to close this action
Record reviewer, scope, date, findings and next review. No claim of professional approval until evidence exists.
Owner: to be assigned · Review date: to be agreed
Evidence pending
7. Safeguarding arrangements
Confirm who handles concerns, response times and escalation. Keep the unmonitored diary clearly distinct from any future request for human help.
Evidence needed to close this action
Name the responsible person and deputy; agree escalation and response arrangements before activating a staffed help route. Never imply diary monitoring.
Owner: to be assigned · Review date: to be agreed
Evidence pending
8. Pilot operations
Provide secure adult-enquiry management, scheduled deletion of expired submissions, a feedback process and a named person handling problems.
Evidence needed to close this action
Verify authorised access, retention and scheduled cleanup, feedback ownership and an incident process before operational sign-off.
Owner: to be assigned · Review date: to be agreed
